R&L Carriers new facility projected to add 200 jobs
R+L Carriers will spend $14 million in capital investment, to construct a 104,715-square-foot truck terminal in Sanger. The truck terminal with support offices will be located north of Sanger off of I-35 (next to Wal-Mart Distribution Center. Dirt work has been completed and concrete is being poured for the huge facility. A maintenance building (27,801 sq. ft) and truck washing building (6,628 sq. ft.), along with a fuel island (3,600 sq. ft) is planned. The total square footage will be 142,024. The projected number of jobs withing the first five years will be 200. The Wilmington, Ohio-based carrier, which ranks No. 8 on the Transport Topics sector list of the top less-than-truckload carriers in the United States and Canada, provides service in all 50 states as well as Canada, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. This move will enhance service to customers throughout Texas, R+L Carriers debuts this new Service Center in Sanger. This facility, allows easier access to this hub, for their trucks in the DFW metroplex and R+L Carriers commitment to consistently improve efficiency, while providing customized supply chain solutions to the shipping public.
